Nicholas Eynon-Lewis: Profile

Mr. Eynon-Lewis MB BS, BSc (Hons), FRCS (csig), FRCS (ORL-HNS) is a Consultant Surgeon at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He trained in London at Charing Cross Hospital, The Royal Free Hospital, and St. Bartholomew’s as well as The National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital and other hospitals in the UK.

Mr Eynon-Lewis has also spent time working and observing overseas in Cape Town and Dallas, USA. He is in charge of undergraduate teaching at Barts and The London Medical School, regularly organising and lecturing on courses at The University of London and The Royal College of Surgeons of England. He also organises and teaches on courses for others in his specialty, such as the London Rhinoplasty Course.

Mr Eynon-Lewis works at a number of clinics in London including The London Laser Clinic.

Mr Eyon-Lewis has a special clinical interest in problems affecting the ear and voice, and in septo-rhinoplasty. He runs a specialist voice clinic at St Bartholomew's Hospital and also works with an experienced voice therapist to provide treatment in the private sector. He has extensive experience in treating professional voice users, including members of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Consultation

Mr Eynon-Lewis gives his patients time to explain their symptoms and ask questions in a relaxed and comfortable environment. The patient is examined using state-of-the-art equipment and investigations, such as scans, are organised as required. Once the examination is complete Mr Eynon-Lewis discusses all the treatment options that are available to the patient.

Patients can be seen during the day or in the evening.

Following the initial consultation Mr. Eynon-Lewis can be contacted by e-mail or phone (via one of his secretaries) to answer any questions that have arisen from the consultation.

If surgery is performed, comprehensive after care is provided.

Research interests

Mr Eynon-Lewis lectures widely to a variety of audiences, including specialists at international conferences, trainee surgeons, GPs, audiologists, speech therapists and nurses. He is the only UK-based surgeon on the editorial board of the worldwide online ENT journal Otolaryngology published by OMICS. He has published on a range of topics in the field of ENT surgery.
