I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for straightening my nose which has improved my breathing. It has not only improved my breathing, but my self confidence also. I was always self-conscious about my nose not being straight, and would not have my photo taken. I now have a straight nose, and can look straight into the camera.

For the last two years I have been struggling to breathe properly and have been continually using over-the-counter decongestant sprays. Mr Fayad was so thorough and talked me through my scan results. I had a deviated septum, narrow nasal valve and nasal polyps. I had my operation and my polyps were removed and I had a titanium implant placed to open up my airways. I started to be able to breathe a little through my nose within the first two to three days; but the big turning point came when I returned to see Mr Fayad after the operation and he cleared out my nose and, it was like a bonus day for me, suddenly, I could breathe better than I have done for the last two years. I have resumed spin classes and the gym and I feel wonderful in just over a week. What was the worst part? Worrying about things which never happened. What was the best part? Meeting Mr Fayad and his caring secretary, Sheila, whom I cannot say enough good things about.

Since I have had my operation on my nose, I have noticed a great sense of relief in the nasal passages of the nose. My operation consisted of a mini-FESS to clean the sinus areas around the eyes and cheekbones which were causing a considerable amount of distress especially during times when I contracted influenza or the common cold. The nasal valves were straightened on the left side of my nose, enabling easier breathing through this part of the organ, and plus a small titanium plate was inserted between two layers of cartilage in the nose, again to enable a better breathing pattern - a plus was that it ensures that the nasal valves remain open for life. I was more than delighted at the outcome of this operation and would recommend this to anyone who has problems with either breathing difficulties and/or sinus problems which may be caused by blockage occuring in the nose.

It is now nearly six months since you placed my breathe-implant for me. I thought you may like to know how my nose and I have been getting along. Although I had pain after the surgery, I did not need any pain relief thereafter. The bruising was minimal, and I was back at work seven days later. Subsequent to the intranasal packs dissolving, I could breathe through both nostrils straight away. It was wonderful. I flew to South Africa for a holiday, and I took along a big box of Sinutab as I would always suffer with terrible sinus headaches when I flew. I am delighted to report, that I didn't even open the box! Also, despite the very cold winter and major use of the central heating, I have had no sinus problems at all since the implant was placed. After being told by several surgeons, that there was little they could do to provide a permanent solution to my problem, I am over the moon with my result... I have no hesitation in recommending this fantastic, and simple technique, and I can't sing your praises enough. Please feel free to give my details to other sufferers so that I can tell, and show them, what a difference this has made to my life.
