Hospitals and clinics treating Cataract

A cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye causing your vision to become misty or blurred. It is an eye condition that can affect one or both of your eyes, and it usually affects people over 40 years of age. Some typical symptoms are: not being able to see well in dim or very bright light; glare from bright lights may become dazzling or uncomfortable; you may even experience double vision; you may see a halo around bright lights such as car head lights and if you are wearing glasses, you may find that they become less and less effective. Cataracts are mostly age-related, although health conditions such as diabetes also play a considerable part in their cause. The only proven treatment for cataracts is eventual surgery, which is now common place and is usually performed by an ophthalmologist and you would be admitted as a day patient.
