Hugh Apthorp: Consultant Hip Surgeon in London

Mr Hugh Apthorp is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon specialising in hip surgery and joint replacement. He trained in orthopaedic surgery at St Thomas' Hospital in London and spent a year working with Professor David Wood in Perth, Australia, developing his expertise in complex hip surgery. His clinical interests are rapid recovery hip replacement, minimally invasive surgery, complex and revision hip surgery and hip problems in young adults. He is a pioneer of rapid recovery hip replacement surgery in the UK with his patients enjoying the shortest length of stay for hip replacements in England.
