Arjun Shankar: Consultant HPB and General Surgeon in London

Mr Arjun Shankar is a leading General Surgeon in London and Medical Director of The Lister Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK. His NHS base is University College and the Royal Free Hospitals and he was previously Divisional Clinical Director of Gastrointestinal Services at University College London Hospitals. Mr Shankar works at one of the UK's largest HPB units and his clinical interests include benign HPB conditions, including acute and chronic pancreatitis, complex gallstone related conditions, emergency surgery and duodenal polyposis. He also leads the Abdominal Sarcoma Unit and the Hernia Clinic at University College. He provides both open and laparoscopic techniques for hernia repair and has a particular interest in dealing with complex recurrences and complications.
