Hospitals and clinics providing Wisdom tooth extraction

Indications for the removal of a wisdom tooth are an impacted wisdom tooth causing pain and other symptoms. It is carried out under local anaesthesia. An incision is made into the gum and a flap of gum tissue is raised. A drill is used to grind a little piece of bone to improve access to the tooth if it is inclined at an angle. Following extraction, the incision in the gum tissue is then sutured. Antibiotics may be prescribed as a precaution. Possible side effects are pain, swelling and difficulty in eating and speaking for a couple of days.
