Hospitals and clinics treating Verruca

Verrucas or foot warts refer to the formation of small masses on the skin of the feet. The most common site of a foot wart is the sole of the feet. Common symptoms are painless itching and bleeding lumps. These lumps may sometimes become painful. The main causative organism of foot warts is the human papilloma virus (HPV). Verrucas are highly contagious. They spread through either direct contact with the skin or indirectly through contaminated objects. Warts usually do not require any treatment. For persistent foot warts, treatment is most commonly achieved with salicylic acid and cryotherapy.
