Wrong diagnosis - outrageous quote

Dentist took an x-ray and gave me a quote for having two teeth devitalized and crowned. Total was over 1600 pounds. Also prescribed anti biotics and anti inflammation drugs for one week.

That did not result in any improvement.

After 3 weeks, I got a second opinion. It turns out that all I needed was just a filling to be replaced. There was an small air gap underneath it causing me pain because of the pressure difference when on planes. Final cost 160 pounds.
