Percutaneous stone removal from the kidney is known as percutaneous nephrolithotomy or nephrolithotripsy. It involves keyhole surgery performed through a 1cm incision in the skin overlying the kidney. The operation will be performed with X-Ray imaging to guide the tube into the correct position.
