Hospitals and clinics providing Mole removal

Moles are small, melanin containing patches on the skin. They are produced by special cells called melanocytes. Moles are a skin disorder and can be removed for cosmetic or medical reasons after a mole screening. Many techniques are available for mole removal. The selection of the technique depends on the size, location and type of mole. Most commonly an unsightly mole is removed with a scalpel and the small incision is closed with one or two stitches by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Some moles are removed by freezing them with liquid nitrogen. If the mole is suspected to be malignant it will need to be excised with a wider margin of healthy tissue, which will require analysis in the laboratory.
