Hospitals and clinics providing Liver resection

A liver resection is the surgical removal of all or a portion of the liver. It is also referred to as a hepatectomy, full or partial. Mostly a liver resection is performed on patients who are suffering from metastases in the liver, where the diseased part of the organ is removed (partial resection). If the right lobe of the liver is affected, then the gallbladder, which is attached to that part of the liver, may also be removed. A full hepatectomy is performed as part of a liver transplant.
