Down’s syndrome is a genetic condition that is often diagnosed immediately after birth. A person with this condition has learning difficulties and characteristic features such as reduced muscular tone, slanting eye features, a single palmar crease and a below average height or length. People with Down’s syndrome should receive special education to assist them with learning difficulties. Social integration with other children is also important to gain acceptance.
