Hospitals and clinics treating Chilblains

If fingers, toes, nose or earlobes are exposed to cold for a long period of time, small bumps appear which are painful and itchy. These are known as chilblains and they disappear on their own in about one to two weeks. Smokers are more likely to be victims. Such people should keep their hands, feet and earlobes warm in cold weather. No medical therapy has proven to be effective.
