Hospitals and clinics treating Astigmatism

The transparent layer of the eye, which is just in front of the iris, is known as the cornea and is normally curved outwards. Astigmatism is an abnormality in this curvature, that does not let light rays to focus on the retina (the ‘projection screen’ in the eye) therefore resulting in blurred vision. This eye condition can occur due to infection, trauma, and eye surgery or can be inherited. If it is since birth then the affected eye loses power of vision in that eye. The treatment for this is usually a laser used by an ophthalmologist to correct the sight.
