Anti-VEGF, 'vascular endothelial growth factor', medication is a treatment that can help stop the progression of wet AMD. Your surgeon may recommend LASEK surgery if you have thinner corneas or are required to perform certain tasks in your day to day life. With Lasek surgery the outer protective layer of the cornea is gently repositioned after being softened by the surgeon. The laser then reshapes the eye in exactly the same fashion as LASIK surgery.
