Hospitals and clinics providing Haemorrhoids or piles removal

Haemorrhoids or piles removal (also called Haemorrhoidectomy) is a surgical procedure that requires a general anesthetic. The internal haemorrhoids will be accessed by the colorectal surgeon by gently stretching the muscles of the anus so that the piles can be seen and cut out. Unfortunately, there will be significant pain following this procedure, but the patient will be given suitable pain medication to control this. The patient will need to convalesce at home for about a week before returning to work. A high-fibre diet is essential to avoid a recurrence. Alternative treatments include a haemorrhoid injection or HAL-RAR.
