Adam Friedmann: Profile

Dr Adam Friedmann consults on all general skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and moles and he has a special interest in skin cancer and blistering conditions.  Dr Friedmann is qualified to treat both adults and children.

Experience

Dr Adam Friedmann, MBBS, FRCP, is Consultant Dermatologist and Clinical Lead of the Harley Street Dermatology Clinic. 

He qualified in medicine at the prestigious King’s College London in 1997 and has over 12 years experience in dermatology, having worked in many of London's top teaching hospitals.  Dr Friedmann founded the Harley Street Dermatology Clinic with a view to establishing it as service provider of the very highest quality in private dermatology.  

Dr Friedmann formerly held an NHS post as a Consultant Dermatologist at the The Whittington Hospital in North London and until 2016 was a multi-award winning Dermatology Teaching Lead for University College London medical students. 

The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic

All skin specialists at The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic are consultants, having obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians and a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Dermatology. All are all members of the British Association of Dermatologists, the Royal Society of Medicine and the General Medical Council and have a licence to practice medicine.

At The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic they know how big an impact skin disease can have on your life and consequently how important a quick diagnosis and the right treatment can be to the sufferer's quality of life.  All doctors at the Clinic are experienced at consultant level in a variety of dermatological conditions.

Consultant dermatologists spend their professional lives exclusively treating skin disease. This gives them the highest level of expertise and experience in the field of dermatology. An accurate and early diagnosis is more likely to lead to a successful treatment and a great improvement in quality of life.

All the clinic’s consultants are trained in paediatric dermatology (skin disease in children) and about a quarter of their work is with children. 

Skin conditions

The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic consultants will diagnose and treat all skin conditions and these include conditions of the hair, nails and genital skin. Other conditions range from common ailments (such as acne, dermatitis and warts) to skin cancer, moles, cosmetic problems and rare and serious skin diseases.

Research interests

Dr Friedmann has conducted research and published case studies on skin cancer in Sydney Australia at the Melanoma Institute. He has also published several scientific papers, book studies and reviews.
