Marco Scarci
Mr Marco Scarci is a highly skilled consultant thoracic surgeon at Spire Hospitals and Harley Street London. He specialises in a wide range of treatments including, lung cancer and thoracic surgery, minimally invasive surgery and treatments for emphysema.

Getting treatment
Mr Scarci provides treatment for private patients suffering with respiratory symptoms and conditions that may require treatment for on-going management from across the UK. He and his expert team of clinicians provide a complete thoracic (lung) surgery service and hold his NHS practice predominately at the internationally recognised University College London Hospital. Private clinic appointments for Mr Scarci are held in London Harley Street, Cambridge and Bushey.

Training and experience
Mr Scarci qualified for his initial medical qualification in 2001 from the University of Cheiti Medical School in Italy. He then went on to undertake specialist cardiothoracic training in Italy and some of the UK’s best hospitals, including Guys and St Thomas and the specialist Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.
Following his extensive training, Mr Scarci embarked on a Minimally Invasive Surgery fellowship with the Univesity of Toronto in 2011, where he spent six months gaining substantial knowledge and experience on a wide range of thoracic conditions and single incision minimally invasive surgery. He has a dedicated interest in the training of junior doctors and is therefore currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Medical Education to offer first-rate training to junior surgeons and medical directors.
