Hospitals and clinics providing Bowel cancer screen

Bowel cancer screening is a diagnostic procedure to determine the presence of bowel cancer. A patient is screened by completing a bowel cancer test which involves providing specimen stool samples. This is also known as a FOB (faecal occult blood) test, which can be performed at home. It is only if these tests cause concern, or if you already have other symptoms such as bleeding from the rectum, that a colonoscopy, a sigmoidoscopy or a proctoscopy is performed to diagnose the specific problem.
